Our Story

The Wilder Hours was born from a simple belief — that some of the most powerful moments in life happen when we step away from the everyday and take a deep breath.
Set in the beautiful Surrey countryside, we bring together the things we love: horses, open landscapes, great quality food, restorative wellness and good company.
Our experiences are deliberately small and unhurried. Ride through the countryside, gather around the table, warm up in the sauna, take the cold plunge and be restored to take on your world!
It isn't about rushing from one activity to the next. It's about reconnecting — with the horses, with nature, with other people and, perhaps, with yourself.
Come for a couple hours. Leave with something that lasts a little longer.
Fall in love with The Wilder Hours Experiences.

Why does Ride & Restore experience feel so different?

We created Ride & Restore around something we instinctively believed: that time outdoors, movement, connection with a horse, warmth, cold and proper recovery can create something rather special when experienced together.
But we wanted to understand the science behind it too.
So we looked at the research.
Our new complimentary guide, The Science Behind Ride & Restore, explores what research tells us about:
  • spending meaningful time in nature
  • riding, movement and connection with horses
  • sauna and heat
  • cold-water immersion
  • recovery and relaxation
  • social connection
  • and, most importantly, why we deliberately bring these elements together in one experience
We’ve also been careful to separate genuine evidence from some of the more exaggerated wellness claims surrounding heat and cold.
Because Ride & Restore wasn’t created around trends.
It was created around a simple question:
How can we spend a few hours in a way that genuinely feels good for body and mind?
